Dr Paul Mainwaring

Paul Mainwaring is a highly experienced medical oncologist with over 25 years of practice, focusing on basic, clinical, and translational research to provide personalized care to patients and their caregivers. He has contributed significantly to the field, publishing numerous papers in top cancer journals such as the New England Journal of Medicine, Lancet, Lancet Oncology, and the Journal of Clinical Oncology.

After completing his medical oncology training at Royal Prince Alfred and Royal North Shore hospitals in Sydney, Paul Mainwaring moved to Europe’s largest cancer hospital, the Royal Marsden in London, where he earned his MD in cell death at the Institute of Cancer Research. In 1999, he was appointed a consultant at Guy’s, King’s, and St Thomas’ NHS Trusts.

In 2002, Paul Mainwaring returned to Australia to become the Director of Medical Oncology at Mater Adult Hospital. Later, in 2008, he moved to Queensland and continued his clinical and translational research in private practice. During his research work in Queensland, he discovered disruptive nanotechnologies that could revolutionize patient care.

In 2019, Paul decided to transition from his role as a medical oncologist and founded XING Technologies, where he currently serves as Co-Founder, Executive Chairman, and CEO. XING Technologies is a biotechnology company that specializes in developing ground-breaking and disruptive nanotechnology to provide rapid, point-of-care diagnosis, screening, and ongoing monitoring of cancer without needing access to laboratory facilities or highly trained personnel.

Paul completed his MBBS degree in Medicine from the University of Sydney, Australia, and his MD from the Institute of Cancer Research at the University of London, England.
